Katie’s Thanksgiving Program

Katie’s preschool put on their first program of the year. The kids all wore their school shirts and sang Thanksgiving songs. It was really fun to watch her sing with her little friends. After the singing they served pie as a treat. Bonus was that Rick was able to come.
In the program it listed what each child said they were thankful for. Katie said Candy. We were still trying to recover from Halloween at that point. One of the boys in her class said he was grateful for the fact he could poop. So glad that wasn’t my kid.
They then asked the kids how to cook a turkey. I was really proud of Katie’s response of “you cook it on the stove and cover it with cheese.” She is definitely my child. Everything tastes better with cheese.
Granted I don’t think her preschool is going over anything academically at that Katie doesn’t already have mastered but to have her grow socially and emotionally preschool is totally worth it!
