We would like to thank Katie's great grandparents for the outfit. All anyone could say was how cute she looked.

Best day EVER!

So I am having one terrific day. It did follow a pretty bad night but that is in the past. I didn't have the energy to get up with Katie this morning and so I handed her off to Rick. He was a good sport about the whole thing and only grumbled when I initially woke him up. Anyway I slept in until almost 10 this morning. Did I mention it was a long night? When I got up I had time to get dressed and mix some cereal for Katie before Rick headed to class. As I was washing Katie's breakfast off her face my husband said goodbye and left. It wasn't until then that I finally looked around me. My dear husband had not only taken care of Katie and studied for school, but he also did most of my housework for me. It was fabulous! So I played with Katie and proceeded to do the dreaded dishes. The only day to day task left undone. Surprisingly they washed up really quick and everything fit into the dishwasher. Katie got a little sleepy and so I wrapped her up and put her down for a nap. Normally a nap lasts 3o mins. Right now she is a whole hour past that. It gave me lots of time this morning. With the dishes done I was able to finally do some deep cleaning. I scrubbed parts of the house I hadn't seen in over 5 months. It was great! Now the house is sparkling minus some vacuuming and I still have a sleeping baby and all day to do whatever I want. So I thought I'd blog for a min and tell you, you should all be jealous of the day I'm having!

Let me tell you about the past little while. We have been able to spend some time with some great people. The Carlise's were in town the other night and it was nice to see them. Rick doesn't have too many long term friends so it was great. Their daughter is so cute too! I was a little sad that Dez had morning sickness and couldn't come shopping but I understand completely. (no I'm not pregnant but last year is still fresh in my mind) We will have to get together again some time soon. Dinner was just not long enough.

Rick was also honored with the opportunity of doing the eagle scout charge for his cousin Jordan Jones. Rick did a really good job. During the court of honor ceremony they had a live bald eagle come. It was pretty cool. Katie thought it was neat to look at and was glued to it during the entire presentation. When they were leaving they came so close to Katie that I could have reached out and touched the bird. It had Katie giggling. It is always nice to see Rick's side of the family. We see mine so often it is nice for the break.
