Rick was gone on interviews for residency so the kids and I put up the tree and decorated the house without him. Not as easy as it sounds with a little boy that just learned to crawl. Katie had a great time putting the tree together. Brady would put all the balls on the tree and then promptly whack them off. I decided that we would be just fine if we kept the decorations to a minimum this year. Sorry some of the pictures are blurry. It was all I have.

Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving was a busy time as always. Chad and his family flew in from Utah. It is always fun to have the cousins together. Plus Rick’s cousin Marj joined in the Jones family craziness.
The week started off with a cousin sleepover. The next morning the boys played football at the annual turkey bowl and everyone was cleaned and ready for dinner by one. Another medical school couple, Luke and Kelsey Allen, joined us for dinner. We laughed really hard and filled our tummies to bursting.
The next day commenced the first, now to be annual, girls day out. It was so fun to spend time being girly with Steph, Sarah, and Marj. We did some shopping and got lunch without the boys and kids. I am truly lucky to have such wonderful, caring sister-in-laws. They love me even with my faults and forgive me for the stupid mistakes I make. I feel blessed to have them in my life. It was so nice to get to spend time with them apart from all the rest of the holiday craziness.
Don’t worry the boys promptly got their guys night in with plenty of XBOX.
The following day we hit the flea market. It was cold. I mean BURRRRRRR!!! It then took us all afternoon to warm back up and get ready for family pictures. We once again FROZE. Post to follow. We ended the day with pizza and bowling.
Sunday included a trip to church, some playing at the park, and packing for my family. We said our goodbyes and headed home exhausted. It is always so draining but too much fun to miss.
Talk about blackmail pictures when they are older.
