So let’s recap our week. We were finishing packing for our move on Monday and Tuesday. My parents flew in on Wednesday on Trevor’s birthday. Thursday I took Trevor for his 1 year shots and check-up and Rick and I went to his graduation dinner. Friday morning Katie graduated from Preschool and Friday evening we had cake for Trevor’s birthday.
To add to all this Rick sold his Truck and the transport vehicle was a disaster and they had to order a second pickup. So Friday night (the night before graduation) he drove back to Morristown from Harrogate to meet the new transport at Midnight.
He was sad to say goodbye to his baby. He loved that truck and put a lot of work into it. It had been good for us but it was time to say goodbye.
So Rick drove back to Harrogate to graduate a few hours later.
We then drove to Atlanta the afternoon after graduation. The next morning, Sunday, we drove to Florida. We were at Disney Monday through Thursday. We went Gator Hunting on Friday. We went to Daytona beach on Saturday. Drove back to TN on Sunday. Packed up the house, loaded the moving truck, and made it to Nashville on Monday. We spent Tuesday in Memphis with Steve and Stephanie thanks to a storm. Wednesday was spent traveling to Amarillo. Thursday travelling to Flagstaff. Friday we drove in to San Bernardino and unloaded all our stuff in a storage unit (ok let’s be honest my dad and Rick unloaded all of our stuff by themselves while my mom and I took care of kids.) Saturday we went to see the house we had under contract and decided not to buy. We then drove to Mesquite. Finally, Sunday we drove to my parent’s house. It had been a long 3 weeks of going. We rested for a few days only to have Rick return to California that weekend for Drill and start work without a place to live. I’ll post more about that later. WHAT WERE WE THINKING???
All I can say is that Family is a blessing. Steve and Steph helped so much with our kids and Rick’s Dad helped pack and load us up. My sister Amy and my parents are AMAZING!!! Without them this move would not have gone as smoothly. My stress level would have been high and we would have never made it to Disney World. Thank you for all that you did for us.
