Family pictures

We wanted to take advantage of the beautiful leaves in our yard and to take some pictures of the kids. It was a struggle to get the kids to cooperate but in the end I like the results.

Happy Halloween

Katie this year told everyone that she was going to be an owl for Happy Halloween. It was impossible for her to say Halloween without the happy. I was able make her costume from a jacket we found at goodwill and some fabric from the local craft store. In the end it cost a total of $6 to make. I was so proud of it.  She refused to wear anything else and loved flapping her wings. Brady went as a pirate and Trevor wore a glow in the dark skeleton onesie and a jack-o-lantern costume over it to stay warm.

We went everywhere trick-or-treating this year. We did our city boo fest, the boo at the zoo, our ward trunk or treat, Katie's school party, and about 10 houses in our neighborhood. Our neighbors were so funny. They waited to see the our kids and after we walked away from their doors they would turn off their lights and be done for the night. It made me laugh more than once.

The downside is we never got a good picture of the kids in their costumes. Katie did come home with plenty of decorations from preschool though.

FYI this is a fish according to Katie.

Fire station

Katie's preschool went for their field trip to the local fire station. Rick actually had the day off and enjoyed taking the boys with us. Brady was a little unsure about getting on the firetruck but finally agreed to get on if I went with him.
