Let’s go Grandpa

We have had lots of fun with Grandpa Jones during the last week. Saturday we ventured out to a Nature Preserve in Knoxville with Grandpa, Steve, and Stephanie. It was a beautiful day just following the crazy tornado weather.(yes I did let the kids play in the rain during a tornado watch) I originally had Brady in a stroller which proved useless when he realized everyone was willing to carry him. Katie checked out the wildlife in the pond and Brady enjoyed looking at the exhibit. Afterwards, we went for a walk down by the river. The kids had a great time throwing/skipping rocks with Steve. Katie even managed to nail poor Steve in the head with one. We walked around a boardwalk next to the river that was attached to the rock cliff and up over the next hill. Of course Uncle Steve set a bad example and went exploring even when the sign told him not to do so. At least Katie has the excuse of not being able to read yet. It was perfect weather and great company. Thanks for inviting us.

 

We then asked Grandpa if he wanted to go to the aquarium with us on Monday. The kids were great on the drive down and Brady ran from one exhibit to the next. Brady wasn’t quite as animated as when we went in Myrtle Beach but at least Katie wasn’t afraid of the Sharks this time.
