Rick ventured back to class on the 2nd and Katie and I are trying to keep busy. We went on a shopping trip the first Friday of the month. Tennessee has a tax free weekend the first weekend in August on school supplies. This includes clothes and diapers. A great time to go shopping in TN because otherwise you are looking at 9.5% or higher sales tax. We drove to Gatlinburg with the Passey and Shawver girls, aka 4 car seats and 3 adults in a minivan. Katie was really good and enjoyed hanging out with the other girls. It was hot so juice was a necessity. 
After shopping, I bought over 60 items of clothing for me and the kids, we went to Red Lobster for lunch and then hit the road for the long drive home. All the girls fell asleep and it was a really quiet ride.
It has been really rainy lately. We went without power one afternoon and the next thing you know we don’t have any water for a day. Tonight our AC doesn’t want to work we think the air blower burnt out. Fun times for the utilities. Plus side with the weather is the beautiful fog and rolling clouds on the hills. 
I’ve been busy crafting with the girls and will have to post some of my finished projects.
Finally Katie learned to play with her shadow this week thanks to Granny Cindy. Sorry the picture is blurry I couldn’t get my camera to focus and pick up the shadow.
