They have been learning about all the aspects of Christmas this month. At her school they cover everything from Santa to baby Jesus. They have been doing a lot of Christmas crafts as well. They include:
A letter to Santa
A reindeer footprint
A sticker tree
A count down to Christmas chain
A glitter ornament
A handprint snowman ornament
and Reindeer food
The Preschool also had their Christmas program. Katie wasn’t feeling well and missed a few days of class. I’m surprised that she knew the songs so well.
After the kids sang then served milk and cookies while Santa read The Night Before Christmas to everyone. Afterward each of the kids got to sit on his lap and receive a present from one of their classmates. It thought it was a cute way to do a gift exchange with little kids.
This made the 2nd time that Katie got to see Santa. The first was at Rick’s military Christmas party the first weekend in December. They gave each of the kids so many toys we put some away as stocking stuffers for the big day.
Brady dislikes Santa. Katie had no problem both times she saw him already. She also gets to see the big man tonight at our Ward Christmas party. She always tells him that she has been good but never really asks for something she wants. Silly girl I guess she will be happy with anything.
