Katie is 3!!!

 

For her birthday this year Katie asked for a Blue party. She really didn’t give anything else for me to go on except the color. It turned out to be really fun to decorate.  I do have to thank Stephanie for all  the help with the decorations. She did most of the work and I got to take credit for it.

We had just a small party with a handful of her friends at grandpa’s house. Thanks Grandpa for letting us invade. We did a Cake walk with prizes and danced to a few songs. The girls then had cake baked into ice cream cones. It was a short and simple party but Katie loved every minute of it.

Katie is pretty small for her age now. She is 3 ft tall and weighs 26.5 lbs. She is happy and energetic still. She still loves books and is addicted to watermelon. She prefers to eat shrimp for dinner and Ramen for lunch. She devours oatmeal for breakfast and can talk your ear off. She plays really well with her brother and loves to show him things. She has learned to climb trees lately and loves to play in the piles of leaves outside.

Katie I love you. I want you to know that you are very special to me. I find your humor to be the highlight of my day. You are so silly and remind me all the time the importance of being a kid. Thank you for being understanding of the craziness that is sometimes your mom. I’m sorry if I ever hurt your feelings. I want you and I to be friends forever because I love spending my days with you. I miss you when you go to school and can’t wait to pick you up and bring you home each day. Your intellect astounds me. You are able to learn things so quickly. Thank you for challenging me each day to be a better mommy. I would not be the woman I am without you. I will always love you!!! ~Mom.
