Day 1 Santee SC

Time to party with the McArthur’s! We decided to end our summer vacation with a trip with our dear friends. The McArthur’s have a time share and invited us to join them in Santee, SC. Honestly there is not much around here as far as a tourist attraction goes, but good friends make up the difference.

Our condo is right on a small tributary of Lake Marion. The location is about a 6 hour drive from Harrogate, TN. We didn’t know if Katie was going to do well on the drive but she excelled our expectations. 2 movies and a nap later and it seemed like the time just flew. 

Shortly after arriving I joined Lisa at the store for some much needed groceries. After tossing  several boxes of decorated cupcakes to the floor with some bad cart driving and completely confusing the checkers we emerged with food to cover our small army of Jones’ (Rick, Katie and myself) and McArthur’s (Ken, Lisa, Chloe, Jared, Reba, and Colby) Don’t worry we managed to start our food on fire the first night so that was out of the way and we could enjoy the rest of the vacation.

Rick took the liberty of exploring the boat dock which we can’t jump off of because of alligators in the area.
