January

In January we went back to a regular schedule with Rick working nights and Katie back in school. She celebrated the 100th day of the school year. They each had to take 100 of something to school. She chose to take 100 facts about sharks and 100 popcorn kernels.

The weather in California was totally different than anything we have ever experienced. It was crazy to run around in short sleeves and digging in the dirt looking for bugs in January. The kids missed the snow but I did not. It was really relaxing.

We had an earthquake actually wake me up. It was a  4.4 magnitude and the epicenter was 11 miles from my house. It dislodged one of the T-frames that is located between the window panes. There is no way to fix it and now it just hangs out obstructing the view.
